Tim Burton, director of the upcoming dark musical about a murderous barber, Sweeney Todd, and his girlfriend, actress Helena Bonham Carter (star of Sweeny Todd) welcomed a baby girl into the world. The couple seems kind of perfect for each other. (But, does anyone else notice that Tim Burton keeps casting his girlfriend Carter AND Johnny Depp in all of his movies? Hello nepotism!)

According to People magazine, Bonham Carter’s representative, Karon Maskill, released a statement saying: “They are absolutely delighted they have a daughter. It’s a lovely Christmas present for the family.”

Bonham Carter, 41, who was pregnant during the filming of Sweeney Todd, had joked that the baby might grow tired of listening to musical rehearsals for the film.

“Maybe the baby’s going to come out with his hands on his ears: ‘Shut up!”‘ she said.

The couple also has a four-year-old son together named Billy.

Sweeney Todd hits theaters this week.
