Oh no he didn’t! Even though I like X Factor winner Leon Jackson doesn’t mean I agree with him remaking “When You Believe” as his debut single! For those of you who don’t know two of the greatest vocalists to ever walk the face of the earth, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, sang the original version of “When You Believe” and Leon’s rendition not only didn’t do it justice, it was super duper painful to hear him butcher it especially when I remember the original so clearly! I have provided you with the original MC and WH version as well as Leon’s remake, let me know what you think.

Ok voice. But he sings like a choir boy. Note by note. Dah dee dah dee dah, blah blah. :/ The best rule is…NEVER TACKLE A MARIAH OR WHITNEY. ESPECIALLY when they’re on the same track. lol

There should be a law against re-making songs that clearly cannot be improved upon. He has a good voice I’ll give him that, but the original is sung with unparalleled passion that his rendition lacked.
…and can I say he had some major balls to step up like that. Not taking on one superb vocalist’s song, but two TOGETHER! Murder Suicide!!!

Oh my fuck! I’m from the UK and I watched it live and RYDIAN (runner-Up) absolutely murdered it! brutally! erm but they did the same last year With Leona Lewis, even tho she’s brilliant at it i still prefer the Kelly Clarkson Version of A MOMENT LIKE THIS! b scott get them told!!!!

It sucks that he won. Rhydian (google him) the runner up was AMAZING…but Leon brought along sob stories with him and cried his way to victory. I thought it was a talent contest but obviously not.

although it’s atrocious it wasn’t actually his fault… the winner is made to sing a cover song of the producers choice, he has now say at all.

ok wtf was that, at 1st i was like ‘ok hes not doin bad’, but he has the same monotone approach throughout the entire song.. his vocal range is non-existent… BUTCHERED IT…. & he changed the lyrics, this diserves 2 thumbs down & a foot to the ass…smdh
