I'm very doubtful of her ever fully recovering. I feel she'll always have these drug addictions even if she does get sober, these demons are deep rooted. I've seen drug addictions in my own family and even saw my sister sober for seven years only to fall back to her old alcoholic ways. How could someone stay sober for seven years and then fall off the wagon? It happens. I think the only way to stay sober would be to live in Rehab all your life which we know does not happen. Besides even in Rehab people have been known to get drugs. Unless she is a very strong willed person and realizes all she has to live for...I sadly think she'll just become another statistic.

I'm sure her parents are at the end of their rope and just desperate to see her get help. It's like Carroll O'Connor and Martin Sheen said, you have to be willing to whatever it takes to get between your kids and drugs sometimes and at the time their kids were, I believe in their 30's. Martin Sheen was succesful at helping Charley get clean. Carroll O'Connor was not. It was heartbreaking to see his grief over what drugs did to his son. I hope Amy makes it.

It's not really personal info.
We've learnt nothing about Amy we didn't already know, and it goes without saying that her parents would feel this way, but again, we already knew their views on the situation.

What this does show us is that Amy really has hit rock-bottom if she's not talking to her parents as she's always been really close to both of them, and especially her dad and her mother feels the need to do this.
It's not like Amy's troubles are anything new. She's had alcohol problems for years now. And so that they've reached a level where they have to do this because of her drink, drugs and mental state says alot.
I feel for them and I pray Amy will get better.
