December 4, 2007 Sherri Shepherd Needs A History Lesson!
During a discussion about Epicurus, who predates Jesus by over 300 years, Sherri makes the remark, “Nothing predates the Christians” Take me higher lord, why does she have to say such super duper stupid things? First, “I Don’t Know If The World Is Round” and now “Nothing predates the Christians!” Here’s the actual exchange that occurred on The View today!
Whoopi: “When he was around there was no Jesus Christ stuff going on.”
Stupid Sherri: “They still had Christians back then. They had Christians because they threw them to the lions.”
Whoopi: “I think this might predate that.”
Sherri: “I don’t think anything predates Christians.”
Joy: “The Greeks were first. Then the Romans. Then the Christians.”
Sherri: “Jesus came first before them, so…”
Whoopi: “Not on paper.”
Sherri Shepherd you are the weakest dumbest link, you are dismissed!

She’s right.
Many of them had been told by prophets, telling of Christ that would come. Thus AWAITING the star which was the sign of his birth. was adam a Christian? YES…in the sense that he believed in the one true God. Not greek theology or mythology.

Sorry.Adam was not a Christian! By definition of the word “Christian”, they have not been around forever. There may have been Jews. The tenets that make up the religion WERE not forged until his lifetime and his death! Furthermore, it was the Romans that fed the Christians to the lions. This is like 6th grade history AND it’s in the Bible.

Wow some folks around here need to seriously check their history books or bible before declaring silliness. The idea of a messiah or christ didn’t happen until several hundred years after Adam. And even then there’s still a debate as to whether or not jesus is the messiah. hence the reason jews aren’t christian (jesus was a jew after all)…they don’t believe he’s the messiah…read a book!!

I’ll give her benefit of the doubt, although my first instinct was the opposite. I think what Sherri intended was that there was no one before God..instead, she swallowed her whole foot, with her comment. Poor thing needs a timeout.
