  Don’t get me wrong, I love Aretha, and I have no problem with Big women. But the problem I see with Aretha is not her just being big, because she’s always been a full-figured woman. But in Aretha is see an aging woman who is letting her weight and her health spiral out of control. And THAT’S not good. Especially considering the fact that she’s diabetic.

  She’s still a beautiful woman and an amazing voice. I praise her for being herself and not caving to the notion that you must have the surgery to be beautiful. Look at Kanye’s wonderful mother dead from botched surgery. Beauty is inside. Not outside and this is a baurtiful woman. Grow up people.

  man. i know she’s good inside, i know she has a voice. But when you dress bad. There is no excuse or shield. She is to big for it. It’s not flattering. The color is beautiful. But. Geeze!!! Why Aretha?! And it’s cold here in DC why would she wear that anyway?! This ain’t Korea!

  Jabba the Hut! No one is saying she’s not the queen of soul or whatever her nickname is. We’re just saying she made bad judgment in what she chose to wear for the day and bad judgment when she ate the whole ben & jerry’s factory. And no one is saying not to love herself, for the queen of the earth that she is, but when someone mistakes you for an alien character from Star Wars is time to get your priorities straight.
