New Music: Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson is coming out with a new album next March (gag!) and her lead single is the Timbaland-produced track entitled “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)”! The song has a 80s new-age pop vibe. Even though Timbaland does whore himself around to any artist who will cover his $200,000 per track fee, he’s one of the only producers to come up with something different for each artists he works with.

The song is quite appropriately titled because I can’t get that damn chorus “outta my head” (pun intended). To be honest, I want to hate this song because Ashlee Simpson is devoid of any vocal talent whatsoever, but the song is catchy as $#!+. It’s campy and cheesy and will probably have me dancing around in my underwear and singing into a hairbrush in no time. Let me know what you think love muffins. Am I “outta my head” for liking this song.

    I LOVE IT!!Fun, cheesy, 80’s influence!! I never had a problem with her voice. She’s no Alicia or Mariah w/ the vocals, but she does make catchy pop music!!

    Wait, you don’t like Ashlee (and rightfully so) since she’s “devoid of any vocal talent whatsoever” but you like Britney?! I luv ya B, but you definitely confused me on this one! :-)
