Nicole Scherzinger’s debut as a solo artist hasn’t been doing too good with both her singles not even getting in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her official website has put up a poll for the fans to choose here next single. I’m really feeling “Puakenikeni” (which was produced by Akon) and I’m sure it would do better than her 1st two releases. Also, the song “Physical” was produced by Timbaland and is featured in the movie “Fantastic 4: The Rise of the Silver Surfer”.

‘Physical’ is that kinda commerical sound that seems to be hot right now… i’m thinking Fergie-esque when I hear it, but ‘Pakenikeni’ made me moooove!

piece of advice to Nicole though – dont let your fans choose your songs cos they like them for different reasons than the mass public will…they’ll pay more attention to lyrical content and relate it to her/themselves over things like whats really best for an artist.
Example – during Mariahs ‘Charmbracelet’ era, the fans wanted ‘Clown’ to be released – but simply because it was lyrically clever, personal to Mariah and a blast over Eminems nastiness rather than stopping and thinking ‘but will people A) listen to the lyrics or B) listen to the production and go ‘yeah this tunes sick’? Really, they’d do neither, but fans don’t think like that.
On the other hand, if you’re clever enough to make a song that has the production but also the lyrics, i.e – ‘We Belong Together’, then you’re set!!
