November 26, 2007 Designer of the Week: Mychael Knight
Take a sprinkle of couture, mix it with a touch of hip-hop and you’ve got a Mychael Knight design. The German born, Atlanta based designer became a household name after making it to the finals of the third season Bravo TV series Project Runway. Though he didn’t win the title, Mychael won America’s respect as an innovative designer. Knight designs clothes for the “sexy, sophisticated, secure woman.” The use of exotic colors and fine fabrics are perfect for anyone who wants to feel like they are the “baddest chick” in the room.
Mychael Knight went from a struggling designer to a household name. Ciara and Queen Latifah are just two of the many celebrities that he has dressed. He is currently creating a super sexy underwear line (Kitty & Dick) and fragrance (Majk). Earlier this year he made headlines with the launch of a new t-shirt project for the one and only Starbucks. Will he be the next Gianni Versace or Marc Jacobs? Let’s wait and see.

Marc Jacob totally reinvented an already made legend (L.V.) And then went on to create his own spectacula vision.
And then to compare him to Gianni?!?!?! B?! As a gay mad you should know that nobody will ever live up to Gianni!
