October 17, 2007 Jennifer Lopez Does A Belly-Flop!
Today the official Soundscan numbers were reported and Jennifer Lopez’s latest album is a super duper flop! Thus confirming something we all knew which is that Jennifer Lopez needs to retire from music (or maybe just releasing Spanish albums)! J. Lo sold a disappointing 53,000 units and failed to debut in the Top Ten (coming in at #12), such an embarrassment! I think J. Lo should focus on her pregnancy, movies, clothing line, production company etc., anything other than music! Could this be bad karma from when J. Lo and Tommy Mottola stole song samples and concepts from Mariah Carey ’s 2001 Glitter album?

Exactly, when your a no talent thieving whore bad things are bound to come to you. The bitch could never sing and I don’t know why B Scott wasted so many posts on her. What goes around comes around and its time the public wake up and support truly talented artists like Mariah and shun untalented ones like J-Hoe!

Eh…prime example of falling due to over exposure. Remember 7 yrs ago when JLo was EVERYWHERE? Some artists don’t understand that you have to constantly reinvent yourself and that means sometimes you have to dip out of the spotlight. Madonna understood that and that’s why she’s still doing her thang to this day. I believe another artist in the next few years will fall from grace as well. I mean, can one really put out a quality album and record every year? In a few years we’ll be saying “what happened to ____ (you fill in the blank)?”

I surprised she was able to sell that many. Between the leaks and lackluster jump off joint, and video of her doing the same ole In Living Color moves, the only thing she had going was her pregnancy and she doesn’t want to talk about that. What else is there for her?

Timing was bad on this. She should have released the album sooner when she found out she was pregnant…and should’ve shot a few videos…HOT videos at once so that she could promote the album better. It’s really not that bad of an album. No J.Lo is not the greatest singer, but the album is decent and actually shows some vocal growth. With GREAT albums going down the toilet because of pregnancies (Brandy’s Full Moon, Toni Braxton’s More Than A Woman) J.Lo should’ve planned better.
