Dallas Austin had decided to open his big mouth once again revealing that Britney Spears admitted to him that she wasn’t ready for her big “comeback” performance at last month’s MTV VMA’s.

The day before the show, the pop star, 25, confided in music producer Dallas Austin.

“She said, ‘Hey, I do not think I am ready for my show tomorrow, and I want to go back to where my kids are,’” Austin revealed to usmagazine.com last night at the Heatherette show during L.A. Fashion Week.

Despite her faltering public image (she was booked last night in L.A. for hit and run), “She is very sane when she talks, believe it or not,” Austin said. “She is normal and knows what is going on.”

Spears, he added, is upset. “[She's] basically, a person who has made so many people happy [and] she is mad that she is not making them happy anymore.”

Okay, thank you Dallas for telling us something that we already knew, what a breakthrough!

In other Britney news, word on the street is that Justin Timberlake’s mother has been making regular trips to visit Brit-Brit.

Lynn Harless has been popping over to visit Brit in Beverly Hills to keep a close eye on her. She remains a link between Brit and Justin and has stayed close to her since the twosome split back in 2002. But at the mo it’s Britters who needs her most and she appears to be on hand to try and help her get through these dark days of late. Lynn said: “I love Britney to death. She is a sweet girl. I just hate what she is going through.”

Well it’s good to know that she has her mother and Justin’s there to help her pull it together!
