The 29 year-old latin singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/producer/dancer/actress recently added scholar to the list of her accolades when she took time off to do some studying at UCLA.

“For the past month, the Colombian pop star has been taking a class at the University of California, Los Angeles, called ‘Introduction to Western Civilization: Ancient Civilizations from Prehistory to Circa A.D. 843.’ …For years the 30-year-old has studied on her own, also taking tutorials on the history and languages of the countries she visits…”

Hats off to this Grammy Award winner for proving that her interests span far beyond being in front of the camera. Look for her upcoming dvd “Oral Fixation Tour: Live from Miami” to hit stores November 13.

Ok, so the music world has been talking about the reunion of the Backstreet Boys for a while now and their first single and video has finally landed. All of the guys sound great and look well preserved EXCEPT for A.J. who now looks like somebody’s daddy trying to be hip. I’m not quite sure who their target audience is anymore, and with song titles taken from SAT tests we’ll see if they can rise back to their former stardom.
