September 12, 2007 Kanye Almost Gold in 24 Hours, Fiddy Struggling To Keep Up!

Our favorite rap queen fashion god is getting overwhelming support from his sugar plum fan base! Today Billboard reports:
…SoundScan Building Chart indicates first-day sales of 437,000 for West’s Graduation, 310,000 for 50 Cent’s Curtis and 107,000 for Chesney’s Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates.
Either his album is top notch or people are still praying 50 Cent will retire if he comes up short. Either way, I’m sure we’ll be seeing Mr. West on a Rodeo Drive near you quite soon. Papa needs a new pair of shoes! Oh, and while you are at it Kanye, I’ve had my eyes on those new Gucci loafers for quite some time now…

Fifty just really fell off on this album. You can tell he knew it wasnt going to do as well as his other albums because he had to pull out all stops to try to hype it up and it still has failed to produce 1 top ten single!

I listened to both on Rhapsody. Fifty of course has some singles on it, but I BOUGHT Kanye’s album. Plus it’s all gravy if 50 retires too! He creates more controversy than album sales apparently.

maybe fitty should reach out to his sugar plums. as a matter of fact, beyonce should put out a national call to all the kids to ban his album since he shunned her at the VMAs the other day.
