September 9, 2007 Britney Spears Lets Us Down At The VMA!
With all the hype surrounding Britney Spears’ VMA performance no one was more shocked than me to see this girl lazily walk around and give a half-assed performance of “Gimme More”. We all expected her to lip-synch but at least she could have made an effort to stay with the track. It looked like a f&*king rehearsal. I was expecting her performance to be out of the world but it absolutely SUCKED! She failed to execute the already lackluster choreography and her dancers completely outshined her. I actually found myself yawning in the middle of her performance. She acted like she didn’t even want to be there and by the end of her performance I agreed with her…I didn’t want her to be there either. Gimme LESS!
And what was all that talk about Chris Angel helping her performance? The only magic trick she did was help make her career disappear. Update: He was in the audience tounging down Tommy Lee. Can you really blame him?
I hope she has something else up her sleeve because right now she’s SOL.

My friend described it perfectly: Watching Britney perform tonight was like watching her funeral. It was not only terrible, it was the WORST performance of her career. She looked nervous and unprepared and like she’d done her weave herself…again. It’s like she didn’t even try. I know Britney has gone through a lot these past few years, but to let it suck her talent dry like that. It almost hurt to watch…

That was straight DOO DOO!! She was so not present. It totally looked like a rehearsal. She didnt look bad, but she barely new the song or the steps.
Poor thing lost her swagger. She is a non singin’ somebody but at least back in the day she knew how to really be ON…..cuz that shit was SLOPPY!!!!!!

I think she really screwed up any chance she may have had. Her album better be KICKASS and she better be back to her old, glamorous self when it drops (with a bit more class than she had before pleeease. this is 2007 not 1999). I wanna root for Britney so bad, I hope babygirl gets the help she needs.

mtv set her up , what bitches… Its so easy to laugh and make fun of people when they are down . She looks mentaly sick , she is not well.. They ( corporate even her label ) sold her , and because she is not well she fell for it ( you know how much ratings mtv got ..) This was to really show us britney is over.

I just have to add that her weave was busted. I’m sorry…2 different colors, not blended at all…sad. She should have called Tyra or Vivica and got a consultation with their “weave technicians”. At least look good, Brit! But at least the boots were cute.

Yeah, even Diddy was like WTF cause he endorsed her too. I hope she enjoyed her career cause she put the final nail into it. She only validated every hater who didn’t care about Brits performance.
It was hard to watch but I couldn’t help but feel mixed emotions of laughter and shame for her. She looked like a stipper trying to come out of retirement after having two babies.

Man oh man. Don’t even know what to say the energy wasn’t there, very sad. But those heals were crazy! Maybe she should have thought of something lower and the outfit, man embrace the post pregnancy body. It was’t as bad as Paula Abdul back in the day but it wasn’t great either.

I was watching it like is this a joke!? It was like it was a bad skit for SNL or something. That was one of the worst performances I have ever seen. (sounding Like Simon from Idol! lol) Seriously was she high or something? She was stiff, barely moving and didn’t seemed like she knew the words. Sad…Just sad…

Oh, B Scott, that was the worst performance I’ve ever seen in my life.
I’m such a huge Britney fan, and to see her flop like this is horrible. It made my already bad day worse. I just hope she will have something up in her sleeve to save her from this horrible experience. Honestly, did the producers think this was hot? If it was that bad, they should have told her to try next year or something. She totally ruined it. But you know, I still have faith in her. I’ll buy her album and hopefully all her fans help her through this mess.

OK by far this was THE WORST VMAS OF ALL TIME!! The show started with a disappointment and was a confusing random mess for the rest of the night. Shot out to Kanye, Chris Brown and Alicia for tryin to hold it down. The show was A HOT MESS as a whole!!

Diddy and 50 looked like they wanted to time warp and reclaim their minutes wasted as well…at one point i really contimpated gougin my eyes out with a dull nail but i found it nearly impossible to pry my eyes away from the train wreck…i bet my next pay check her ass was drunk!
Brit killed any and all hope that folks had for her. And i doubt that MTV will take a gamble on her again. You would think she would come hard and stuntin on bitches…ahh well…

Ahhh, you know I must be a BIG Britney fan to even attempt this. But, well, after this performance one of two things are going to happen, because the fact of the matter is Britney can escape tabloids, she can escape blogs, she can escape television, but she can’t escape THIS. The WORLD is going to be talking about this tomorrow and she will NOT be able to hide, because she herself will KNOW that she did TERRIBLE. So, one of two things are going to happen.
1) The heaps of BAD publicity this performance caused will send her back into seclusion and it will be the end of Britney Spears the performer.
Or,
2) If she has the courage to keep going AFTER this (and I’ll admit it will take HUGE balls to want to go on after this), you know this will be the LAST bad Britney performance. This performance was a wake-up for Britney. She will NOT be able to escape it. Trust, she NOW knows that she cannot do this comeback herself. If she continues she knows she going to have to hire back ALL the people she fired. Don’t forget this comeback STARTED with her publicly firing all the people who made her career what it was, and surrounding herself with her yes-mam friends who’ll compliment her up the ass even if she looks cracked out with a bad weave. And it shows that she’s surrounded by yes-men. NO professional stylist, promoter, or manager would have let her even THINK of leaving the house to do that performance.
Britney thought she was in a place to be able to run her career herself but tonight proved that she isn’t. She needs her old manager back. The one who didn’t say yes all the time and wasn’t afraid to crack the whip to keep her ass focused on the goal. The only good thing about this performance is that now, hopefully, she knows that. And if she does, better believe she WILL come back.
As for me, I’ll keep hoping. I mean, the SONG is still hot, and I’m loving most of the leaked tracks and there are still tons we haven’t heard. So she’s got GOOD MATERIAL to work with for this comeback. She just really needs to work on HERSELF now.

Ok, Brit-brit needs to quit-quit. The performance was DEFINATELY not worthy of opening up anything but a high school talent show. Bless her heart, I had a smidgen of faith she would rip it.
Britney, lessons to learn:
If your gonna make a “comeback” performance…
1. Get your thickly ass in the gym for at least a month beforehand. Baby fat is not cute.
2. When you get up on stage, STICK EVERY MOVE bitch.
3. Don’t ever let your back up dancers upstage you.
4. A cheap weave looks even cheaper on camera.
They should’ve had Chris Brown open it. His performance was hot to def!!!

Actually, I thought the VMAs pretty much sucked this year. It seems like they focused too much on making the show good if you were THERE (with the parties and everything), but everything seemed dull for the viewer. Everyone presenting seemed dull, drunk, and like they couldn’t read the teleprompter.
The only good performance was Alicia Keys. I would say Chris Brown but his lip syncing was worse than Britney’s

I don’t know what’s worst, Brintney’s performance or the hopeful fools that continue to look forward to a good performance from her.
I myself love a great comeback, but please I’m not a fuckin idiot! She obviously doesn’t care about her own career or fans to give this shit of a performace. You all should be taking this as a HUGE slap in the face! After all the support people were giving her she returns the favor with this less than mediocre clown show.
I think she needs serious help, she doesn’t look like she’s completely there. For starters, she looked like a rag-a-muffin. That in itself is mortal sin because if you’re not going to bring it, at least look good not bringing it! Secondly, her singing was out of sync. She is not expected to sing live so why fuck that up???
Laslty, her dancing was atrocious! She was plopping all over stage all heavy footed and lazy. I’m telling you she needs to lay off those “downers”.
I really wanted to be proven wrong for expecting a bad performance but, oh well she has managed to really lower the standard.

Was it B. Scott’s bean dip or Brit Brit’s performance that left me with gas? It wasn’t just Brittney’s performance that stunk the WHOLE award show turned my nose. But I’m not mad at Brit. True, I was mad at the horrid weave holding on for dear life to her head. Shame on MTV and her management for even putting Brittney on the stage. She was a confused bitch the entire 3 minutes, and it was a pain to watch. My advice would be get new management who actually has her best interest in mind. Right now she is 1/10th the performer she used to be with all the emotional baggage from divorce and the stalkerrazzi constantly following her. Tonight reminded me why I don’t watch MTV because it’s 23 hrs of “ Reality TV” bullshit and an hour of crappy meaningless music videos. I forgot they were even giving out awards with the few categories they presented. Overall the 2007 VMA’s was a 2 hr alcohol commercial EVERYONE WAS DRUNK, I wish I was too. B.
