September 6, 2007 Fashion Rocks
It’s Fashion Week in NYC so it’s time to pull out your fiercest outfit and walk down the nearest concrete runway near you. Look for the annual Fashion Rocks concert that will air tomorrow night at 9 p.m. pst. Fashion Rocks is all about showing the splendiferous relationship between fashion and music and will feature some of today’s most stylish artists alongside cutting edge designers.
This year look for unexpected duets such as Usher and Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Santana, and Fergie with Ludacris. There will also be performances by Avril Lavigne, Carrie Underwood, Aerosmith, J. Lo, and Jennifer Hudson.
Since we’re on the subject of JH, the remake of the Stevie Wonder classic “Overjoyed” featuring J. Hud was recently leaked. The remake has a grown and sexy type feel and, while I’m a big fan of this beauty, I’m on the fence with her vocals on this track. I think she may be oversinging it a little but then again, she does have a voice as big as her ta ta’s. Give it a listen and let me know if she’s on point or doing a little too much.

J.Hud did her thang on this one! Not to many artist can do Stevie Wonder remakes well. She sounds beautiful.

Hello! Love your site B…butteruh, listen………this track is OLD! It’s on a CD from last year, prior to Dreamgirls….she recorded for a jazz artist on Renn music, she was a guest vocalist. Please correct the title because this is NOT from her new album.

Yes I do adore Jennifer Hudson.She didnt over do it, It’s just her voice she’s a great singer and there’s no were to put her but in a musical .because her voice is to powerful for the music and songs that are coming out now,I thought that about her back in Amercia Idol.Her voice to me is even stonger than Patty’s.But there was a place 4 Patty because back then it was the old music going on like this song.Jennifer is great but i just see her pushed under the rug,or these producers telling her she need to tone it down like they did her in dreamgirls.Dont get me wrong Im not talking bad about her like i said before I love her.But honestly can you see her voice jumping in the clubs.Her voice is for Broadway or Musicals.But I wish her the best.
