Rihanna’s “Umbrella” was not only a mega-hit in the US and UK, the song has now taken on a life of it’s own. Numerous artist, even well-established ones like Mandy Moore, are taking a stab at the song. I think there have been so many covers of the song because when you really listen to the lyrics, they sound like they should belong to an acoustic/folk/pop song more than R&B club-banger. It just goes to show you that a great beat can transform any song into a dance hit. Enjoy…
