Love muffins please get ready to dance when you hear today’s music spotlight. Bonde Do Role is a Brazilian baile (dance) funk group that mixes guitar riffs with a miami-bass sound and the Brazilian based music style of funk carioca. Originally from Curitiba in the South of Brazil, their musical influence hails from the shantytowns of Rio de Janeiro. Working with DJ mega-producer, Diplo, has transformed their sound into something addictive, playful and hard to let go of. Can You Feel The Noise?

OK, so Omarion has a new movie coming out, and it’s called Feel the Noise. The trailer has run a few times, and after seeing what this Jennifer Lopez-produced flick is about, we can say that it looks like a ‘make it a Blockbuster night’ feature.

Omarion is not a prime actor, and whenever a singer gets to sing/rap/dance and play lead role in a film, it’s usually the main ingredient for disaster. Not to mention the premise of the film is set around the fact that he plays a rapper who hides out in Puerto Rico from the bad guys. Too bad he’s the hottest thing in rap in the P.R. and his Puerto Rican amigos want to bring him back to the States, along with the flavor of reggaeton. Is this at all believable? No! Feel free to support Omarion’s film career when it comes out on October 5th.

Lessoned learned house can burn were close to heat

Thought you said thought you said that you loved me
Thought you said thought you said that you need me
Thought you said thought you said you complete me
Thought you said thought you said you were never gonna let it go
Thought you said thought you said wen you held me
Thought you said thought you said when’d you tell me
Thought you said thought you said no one else could replace me
Thought you said thought you said that your never gonna let it go

Love Muffin Request: Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”

Yesterday I featured the Flashback Video: Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” and one of my love muffins left this comment/request:

YOU SHOULD POST PRINCE’S LIVE VERSION OF THE SONG WITH ROSIE GAINES PUTTING THE STANKY STANK ON IT. HE WROTE IT IF IM NOT MISTAKEN.

Love muffin you’re correct, “Nothing Compares 2 U” was written around 1984 or 1985 by Prince for The Family. Due to the song’s newfound popularity by Sinéad O’Connor, Prince began to perform it in concert and included a live rendition on his 1993 compilations The Hits/The B-Sides and The Hits 1. Prince’s version features Rosie Gaines, who at the time was in his group the New Power Generation. And yes Rosie Gaines put the “stanky stank” on it!

What Happened To Russell Crowe?

These pictures from the 3:10 to Yuma press conference taken at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel yesterday really brought to my attention how much Russell Crowe’s appearance has changed! RC went from looking like a future baby daddy to looking he would ask me if I could spare him some change. What happened to the Gladiator I use to know! (B. Scott is so confused about this one!)
