Lizz Wright – Fire
Lizz Wright has already released two albums (Salt and Dreaming Wide Awake), both of which find themselves in my CD rotation every couple of months. I ran across this live performance of one of my favorite songs, “Fire”. Listen to the lyrics and that rich voice! Amazing
Jean Baylor – Morning Time
You may remember Jean Baylor as 1/2 of the R&B/Soul duo Zhane back in the 90s. Well recently she made her solo debut and it’s nothing short of amazing. Enjoy “Morning”. So much talent and so little attention.
Corinne Bailey Rae – Til It Happens To You
Some dismissed Corinne Bailey Rae as just another neo-soul knock-off but I think she has been slept on. Enjoy one of my favorite songs on the album “Til It Happens To You”. It’s bluesy…just the way I like it.

Thanks B for sharing because I didn’t even know Jean did some solo work. Live music always separates true artists from entertainers. These ladies write their music and you can tell. They sing from the soul.
