August 10, 2007 50 Cent says, “I’ll Quit If Outsold By Kanye West!”
We all know by now that when the clock strikes midnight on September 11, 2007 the bell will also be ringing to start the battle of the egos. The two contenders for top album sales are Curtis “The Gorilla” Jackson and Kanye “The Fashionista” West. Today 50 has upped the ante by saying he’s so sure his album sales will top Kanye’s he’s willing to literally bet his recording career on it.
Let’s raise the stakes,” the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer write music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out anymore solo albums.”
Oh how I pray that Kanye “The Fashionista” West emerges the victor because at least then there’ll be one less super-inflated ego in the world of hip hop. Kanye sounds better on the mic and any man willing to rock a Gucci “man bag” is definately the one I’ll pull out my pom poms for!

My bet is on Kanye. With all the singles 50 has put out none have really been bumped on the radio and Kanye’s Stronger is in the top 10 in its 2nd week and is the bomb. Also Kanye raps more intelligently is much more innovative!

I haven’t bought a rap cd in over a decade, but I will put my $$ up for Kanye if it will help shut 50 down for good.

We all know 50 will go and buy a million albums with his own money. He is not about to let KWest beat him out.
I don’t care for either of them but I do like Stronger. Get some drinks in me and that is my cut.

When will people realize that 50 cent is whack. He’s all gimmick. I don’t like the attitude of 50 Cent or Kanye West but at least Kanye West backs up his talk. 50 Cent is just a drug dealer who got shot 9 times and happens to know how to rhyme Candy Shop with Lollipop. How original. I’m gettting Kanyes album just so I don’t have to hear 50 Cent again.
