August 8, 2007 Beyonce Smells Like Diamonds
Beyonce can add another prime customer to her growing list of endorsements. This chick is getting paid.
It was announced back in May that Beyonce would be the new face of Emperio Armani’s fragrance “Diamonds”. After repping Tommy Hilfiger’s “Star” perfume Beyonce took a huge step up in the fragrance promotion by scoring the Armani deal. Now the campaign is officially in order and you can check out the new commercial. I really like it. It reminds me of the “Naughty Girl” video she did with Usher back in the day. She puts a modern spin on the classic Marilyn Monroe song “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend”. Marilyn’s version was cute but Beyonce definitely brings the heat. Enjoy Love muffins!
I think it’s safe to assume B is no longer repping for Tommy Hilfiger’s Star perfume. It doesn’t matter because Armani is a huge step up in the fragrance and promotion component.

While Beyonce is the bizness to me, I don’t think this product did the right choice in chosing her as the spokesperson. Emporio Armani is sophisticated and mature. Beyonce is young and wild (in a good way). That seems like a mismatch to me. Maybe J. Lo or Tyra Banks or even Naomi Campbell would’ve been better picks.
