July 8, 2007 Praise Him: Britney Spears Goes To Church!

Praise him! My prayers have been answered—Britney Spears is finally attending church! The troubled pop star got her praise on today with her two kids, Sean-P and Jayden-P, along with her alleged new man, AA counselor John Sundahl. I honestly don’t know what’s up with Britney, but going to church is a step in the right direction! Certainly the lord will guide her where she needs to go.

Work Your Weekend!

1. Drink This! “Cranberry Vodka Iced Tea”

Try this iced tea with a kick this weekend. (And don’t fret if it seems like a lot of work. Substitute the tea making process for a pre-made version. The difference will be minimal.)

2 quarts water
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
8 tea bags
2 cups cranberry juice
1 to 2 cups cranberry vodka, to taste

Bring the water to a boil in a large pot, and remove from the heat. Immediately whisk in the sugar and lime juice until sugar is dissolved. Add the tea bags and cranberry juice. Allow the tea to steep for 10 minutes, remove the tea bags and cool the tea. Stir to be sure that the sugar is dissolved, and place in a large pitcher. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Just before serving, add the vodka to the tea and serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lime slices.
