Avril Lavigne Gets Sued!

There appears to be trouble in faux-punk land! It turns out that Avril Lavigne’s summer hit “Girlfriend” might not have been original at all. She is currently being sued by The Rubinoos, a powerpop band from the 1970s. The fact of the matter is this: Avril totally ripped-off of the Rubinoos’ classic 1979 single, “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.” The choruses are exactly alike but they never gave any credit.
Compare the lyrics of the chorus yourself:
Avril: “Hey, hey, you, you, I don’t like your girlfriend”
Rubinoos: “Hey, hey, you, you, I wanna be your boyfriend”
According to the credits, that would be none other than Lukasz Gottwald, aka Luke Gottwald, aka Dr. Luke, the songwriting machine whose written massive hits for the likes of Kelly Clarkson (“Behind These Hazel Eyes” and “Since U Been Gone,” which I kinda sorta like). I smell a payout is coming real soon.

It’s quite true… that when your hair is not up to par you feel a hot mess. But not only that, you most definitely look it. With summer here and the temperature steadily rising, a manageable hair style should be your number one priority. Don’t be scared to stray from the norm this summer. Be fierce, be original, but most importantly, be you.
Hair tips for the summer:
1. IT’S NOT SNOWING!
Let the willymammoth escomo locks go. Remember you can be sexy without having hair hanging all the way down to your crack. Being sexy is mental. If you believe it, others will see it. Look to stars like Rhianna and Ciara for inspiration.
2. BE TRUE TO YOU!
Put down the dye and leave the bleach alone. Give your hair time to rejuvenate from all the chemicals and heat it has endured. Allow your curls to be free. Toss up a sloppy pony every now and let your natural beauty shine through.

Chlorine + Sun Rays+ Chemicals= Baldheaded
3. HATER BLOCKERS ARE FOR THE EYES!
Sunglasses are not accessories for your hair, so stop acting like it. Purchase thick headbands, ribbons and clips to wake up your everyday hair style. The right accessories and color accents can make an outfit. Spice up a simple pony with a headband or pull your hair off your neck with a decorative clip. Remember that you have so many options so don’t limit yourself.

Are you guys ready for a new single from Brit-Brit? I know she’s still looking a little (let’s be nice) rough around the edges but I’m literally dying to hear her new music! Keri Hilson did tell me at the 2007 Rhythm & Blues ASCAP Awards last week that Britney’s first single would hopefully be coming out soon and that it would most likely be one of the four or five songs that she wrote for her.

TMZ is reporting that they have confirmed that Nicole Richie is, in fact, pregnant and will marry Joel Madden this summer!
