I know this is extremely old but I don’t care. Bravo has been running a marathon of the guilty pleasure, Being Bobby Brown, and I just saw one of my favorite moments. It’s Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown jamming to the Black Eyed Peas hit “Shut Up”. I just had to post it. Enjoy and Reminisce
Which is better (or worse)? Whitney and Bobby or Whitney and Ray-J? I can’t decide.
Last night was the premire of Dreamworks’ Transformers during the Los Angeles Film Festival. The film’s leading men—Tyrese, Josh Duhamel and Shia LeBoeuf—looked debonair and classy on the red carpet!
Rachel Taylor plays the leading lady, and there are apperances by Bernie Mac, Jon Voight, Anthony Anderson and Darius McCrary in the movie. A movie this big meant the red carpet would be full of celebrities to catch the first full look at one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters.
Michael Bay, the film’s director, has probably hit gold with this one. His style is flashy and explosive—literally—and this is the type of movie that will only benefit from extensive bombs, guns and robots! Will Transformers take over the box office during what was previously known as Big Willy Weekend? We’ll see when it drops on July 3th! Check out the trailer:
Madame Tussauds wax museum has unveiled a few more figurines for the grand opening of Club MTNY’s VIP Room. Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Madonna and Jessica Simpson are a few of the fresh faces you’ll see. JT, Paris and Jessica look pretty accurate, but Usher could use a bit more flesh in the face (and belly), and there’s a chance a wax baby bump will have to be added to Xtina.
The figure that’s the most off is probably Madonna. We all know the Material Girl has gotten older over the years, and even though no one wants to be immortalized in wax with crow’s feet and laugh lines, they could’ve created a more up to date version of her!
Last night, Courvoisier hosted Atlantic Records’ super exclusive anniversary party in Hollywood. A good number of Black Hollywood’s big names in music were there. Lil Kim made an appearance and got in her photo opps with Keyshia Cole, LL Cool J and Letoya Luckett.
Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michelle, Ray J, and T.I. also popped up. T.I.’s friend Kevin Liles looks like he’s said “Pass the Courvoisier” too much!
Tatyana Ali was there too, but we’re not really sure why. Maybe she has a follow up album to 1998’s Kiss The Sky?
As I briefly mentioned before, I covered the red carpet at The 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards with a film crew! I had an opportunity to meet and interview Mary J. Blige who was honored with the “Voice of Music Award,” the super duper sexy Tank, Kandi Burruss, the beautiful Letoya Luckett, Gabriel “Wonder” Arillo, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Young Berg, my new best friend Drew Sidora and the splendiferous Keri Hilson. I can’t say enough about how much I love Letoya Luckett! This talented singer/songwriter won an ASCAP award for “Torn”. She radiates positivity and is so stunningly beautiful in person! I have met all the members of Destiny’s Child and promise you that Letoya possesses the most natural beauty by far!
“Hold me baby, drive me crazy, touch me, all night long”—this song is so 1991. Cathy Dennis was an English 90s sensation who released “Touch Me” as a single from her first album, Move To This. You know you know every word!
