In a recent interview with Essence Magazine, Larissa Aurora aka Bootz let it be known how she feels about Shay, her ups and downs with Mo and the stereotypes encouraged by the show.

Here’s what she had to say:

First of all, Shay and I are not friends. In fact, I don’t even know her and the only reason Shay told everyone she was my friend was because she knows my fan base is large. So she figured, let me hang with Bootz because she’d get more screen time. There were a lot of things cut out of the episode that proved that Shay had a problem with me. If she was my friend, why would you try to clown me during the debate team challenge and the Leilene situation?

The only thing I can say about Mo’Nique is that she doesn’t see everything that goes on in the house, but our strained relationship was another reason I left. And let’s be clear, I left the show, I didn’t get eliminated. If judging was really based on the competition, then I passed my competition so why was I on the carpet? Mo’Nique had too much pride to congratulate me on doing a great interview with “New York”.

The people that say the show is degrading to Black women still watch it and help boost ratings. When they stop watching then they’ll stop airing these shows and they won’t have anything to complain about. They talk about us worse than the video vixens, but I know that’s because the show is such a huge success. People are way too hard on the shows when they should be focusing on whatever else is going on in the world.

How do you think she felt about not wining those 50Gs? Here it is straight from the camel’s mouth:

I didn’t care if I won the money or not because 50 Grand isn’t a lot of money to me. Every other girl made winning that 50 Grand their life. Honestly, I don’t know how the other girls are used to living, but I’m used to better things and I’m not easily influenced by money. I have other goals in my life and I know how to make money other ways.

Looks like the actor-turned-morning-radio-host may make his current boo status official. According to a close friend, Mr. Harvey is engaged to Marjorie Bridges. At a recent event, he seemed to make it clear to everyone:

When guests asked Harvey for a photo op, he kept Bridges at his side, saying, “This is my fiancée.” The brown-skinned beauty sported what looked like a canary yellow marquis diamond of generous weight. How the couple met is not immediately known.

Apparently, Angie and Brad are at it again! The dynamic duo have been visting orphanages in the Czech Republic on the low to try and adopt a new little boy! Angie is in Europe filming her latest film and she will take a year off after wrapping the project to spend some quality time with Brad and of course, the kids. Brad has allegedly been spending some time with their hopeful baby while Angie is hard at work! All they have to do is complete the paperwork and baby no. 5 will emerge in Hollywood!

The biggest part will of course surround her marriage with Mike. She’s obviously a strong woman to get through that. Here’s what she had to say about him:

“I love him. We’re still bonded in ways. I thought I failed Michael. That’s really the issue that I still struggle with. My sense of failing him. I wasn’t the person I wanted to be. I was a little girl. I wasn’t ready to marry anybody.”
