So Random!

+ June 28, 2007

I know this is extremely old but I don’t care. Bravo has been running a marathon of the guilty pleasure, Being Bobby Brown, and I just saw one of my favorite moments. It’s Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown jamming to the Black Eyed Peas hit “Shut Up”. I just had to post it. Enjoy and Reminisce

Which is better (or worse)? Whitney and Bobby or Whitney and Ray-J? I can’t decide.

The Transformers Premiere!

Last night was the premire of Dreamworks’ Transformers during the Los Angeles Film Festival. The film’s leading men—Tyrese, Josh Duhamel and Shia LeBoeuf—looked debonair and classy on the red carpet!

14454416bsessoms628200712607pm.jpg

Rachel Taylor plays the leading lady, and there are apperances by Bernie Mac, Jon Voight, Anthony Anderson and Darius McCrary in the movie. A movie this big meant the red carpet would be full of celebrities to catch the first full look at one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters.

Michael Bay, the film’s director, has probably hit gold with this one. His style is flashy and explosive—literally—and this is the type of movie that will only benefit from extensive bombs, guns and robots! Will Transformers take over the box office during what was previously known as Big Willy Weekend? We’ll see when it drops on July 3th! Check out the trailer:

Can You Guess Who’s In Wax?

+ June 28, 2007

Madame Tussauds wax museum has unveiled a few more figurines for the grand opening of Club MTNY’s VIP Room. Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Madonna and Jessica Simpson are a few of the fresh faces you’ll see. JT, Paris and Jessica look pretty accurate, but Usher could use a bit more flesh in the face (and belly), and there’s a chance a wax baby bump will have to be added to Xtina.

14460492bsessoms628200720321pm.jpg

The figure that’s the most off is probably Madonna. We all know the Material Girl has gotten older over the years, and even though no one wants to be immortalized in wax with crow’s feet and laugh lines, they could’ve created a more up to date version of her!

Atlantic Records 60th Anniversary Party!

14458341bsessoms628200710253pm.jpg

Last night, Courvoisier hosted Atlantic Records’ super exclusive anniversary party in Hollywood. A good number of Black Hollywood’s big names in music were there. Lil Kim made an appearance and got in her photo opps with Keyshia Cole, LL Cool J and Letoya Luckett.

Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michelle, Ray J, and T.I. also popped up. T.I.’s friend Kevin Liles looks like he’s said “Pass the Courvoisier” too much!

Tatyana Ali was there too, but we’re not really sure why. Maybe she has a follow up album to 1998’s Kiss The Sky?

B. Scott At The 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards!

+ June 28, 2007

img_05612007ascap4.jpg

As I briefly mentioned before, I covered the red carpet at The 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards with a film crew! I had an opportunity to meet and interview Mary J. Blige who was honored with the “Voice of Music Award,” the super duper orgasmic Tank, Kandi Burruss, the beautiful Letoya Luckett, Gabriel “Wonder” Arillo, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Young Berg, my new best friend Drew Sidora and the splendiferous Kerri Hilson.

I can’t say enough about how much I love Letoya Luckett! This talented singer/songwriter won an ASCAP award for “Torn”. She radiates positivity and is so stunningly beautiful in person! I have met all the members of Destiny’s Child and promise you that Letoya possesses the most natural beauty by far!

Even though Mary J. Blige was bum rushed by interviewers, I did manage to ask her what’s she’s wearing and her publicists responded ” Cavalli.”

Oh my goodness, Tank is such a Future Baby Daddy! He came up to me to be interviewed and I almost fainted! We talked about his latest album “Sex, Love & Pain,” which was released May 15, 2007 and about how it was to work on Jamie Foxx’s last album. Oh and I can’t forget to mentioned his honey colored eyes that made me want to jump for joy!

Here’s Tank’s video for his first single off this album “Please Don’t Go,” which was shot at the same Hollywood Hills house where Elise Neal had her exclusive Pool Party I attended on Saturday. (Pictures from that event to come.)

Tank how could anyone leave you? You would have to beat me down like Harpo did to Ofelia for me to even begin to consider leaving your fine take me higher lord self!

Even though I didn’t have a chance to speak with Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, I did observe that has to be one of the skinniest people on earth who just so happens to be one nicest.

img_05982007ascap11.jpg

I know this is a horrible picture of Keri Helson but it’s the only I have so thus it will be used. Keri Helson is one of my favorite “new” artists on the verge of coming out. We talked about how it was to work with Timberland on his second single titled “The Way I Are” and the possibility that one of the five or six songs she wrote for Britney’s upcoming album being selected as the first single.

Please stay tuned for the video footage from my exclusive coverage of the 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards!
