You make a completely valid point. I can agree with you, in opposition to my supposed opinion(s) as they apply to this “touchy” subject I see! Now, I am a fan of Beyonce; I may not be an extreme fan, but I do enjoy her stage presence and her unique sound. However, as a consumer and a common listener of today’s music, I think she’s one of the artist worth challenging to do better, and greater than what she’s done so far. I know she is capable of more, and has even more potential to have a greater impact on music. And to do that I would imagine she would need to add a little more depth and substance to her lyrics, and music in general.
To all the Beyonce fans that I might have offended, I know I took some low blows, I was being petty and “hating” as you all called it. Nevertheless, I am only expressing an opinion; whether my alleged facts are true or not, it is how interpreted what I’ve observed. What I say will not affect how you all view her music, nor will it change your support for Beyonce. It most certainly won’t change the fact that Beyonce is a multi-platinum selling super star that makes lots of money. Blogs are about individual outlook. GET OVER IT!

I love how Beyonce’s blog posts are always the ones that get the most response…. further proving why she should stay in the music biz (cuz she has a presence that demands attention).

Now I’m not gonna bash anyone else’s opinions about whether or not Beyonce is what the music world needs. I do take of my hat to Beyonce though for staying determined enough to get into the music biz at an early age and pushing herself to produce more and more…. though a break would be nice. Fact of the matter is that Beyonce writes and arranges her own music. Though haters may say that the music is formulaic, not many UNformulaic artists out there can do that. She gets out on that stage and gives you as close to 100% (if not more) as possible. And if she’s such a detriment to the music world, where is the stiff competition that is taking her shine? Keep it real, she is one of the few artist EVER that stepped away from their group to be recognized as an individual artist. C’mon folx, don’t hate.

Now I will ding her for always wanting to be the stunna out of her groupmates… especially Kelly cuz this is SUPPOSED to be her time to shine. But B’s drive to be the best is what has secured her place as one of the hottest chicks in the music game right now! Rihanna has a ways to go before she can be compared (Beyonce’s got 10 years in the game boo).

Beyonce as a performer: She’s solid. The Academy Awards don’t just invite any old person to perform.

None of Ya Business: you’re totally blinded by the fact that Beyonce is a star. ya ya, I like her – she’s a good performer, talented singer (bad actress, I’m sorry she totally needs to sit down when it comes to that Ish) but the point of the matter is: her music (and, really, most of the artists on the charts at this moment follow suit) is useless. NOTE: B’ Day was recorded in a weeks time because of all that pent up anger from being shunned during the promotion of dream girls, and seeing Jennifer Hudson being praised was all she could stand! Hence why you can picture Mrs. Carter nearly popping a vein when you listen to the album, sound like she’s trying to show Jennifer Hudson up! Wasn’t she supposed to be on a break? I f I had the honor of meeting Mr. Wainwright I would thank him tremendously. Mainly for being the first male (homosexual or heterosexual) to impartially criticize Mrs. Carter solely based on her music, and not based on the packaged twenty-two inch blonde weave, bleaching cream, and plastic surgery that has been sealed wrapped and “fed” to us as he well put it, by the machine behind her empire; Mathew Knowles (lets not forget Mr. Carter’s contribution, you know with him giving her street credit and all). Quite frankly I can cope with the music industry’s blatant title of Mrs. Carter as the so called “hottest chic in the game”, HOWEVER, she is now being held as the new standard, for music, and representative of what the ideal female r & b singer should be. Who’s making these judgment calls? I am a twenty one year old woman, and for the life of me, I would like to hear music that I can relate to, not only on a personal level, but on a grammatically sensible level; unfortunately, in that department Mrs. Carter is lacking. Let’s face it, she needs to grow up! And hire writers who can express her music in a more adult approach and in a less, “I’m a hot ghetto, disheveled, country bumpkin, nonsensical and immature mess”. It’s time she picked up a book, not a magazine with her face plastered on the cover. A REAL BOOK! That has intelligent words, and perhaps maybe this will propel her to look those words up, and use them in a sentence. Heck Rihanna’s album is more articulate and classy than B’Day, and she’s only nineteen. Mrs. Carter hasn’t shown any growth or change, since destiny’s child, and you’d think with age and with all the new experiences in her life she would have something different to “scream” about I guess not. Beyonce is stagnant, and although the beats of her songs have been more up-tempo, and despite the fact that she’s experimented with her voice, nothing has changed. Ultimately, because she is a favorite in the entertainment world she gets cut a lot of slack! Great film roles, endorsement deals and grade “A” credit to go along with it. But I’m afraid she’s done very little to earn them. What if Beyonce was Dark skinned, with a less attractive nose, dark hair, and had an unflattering body? Would she be as successful? What if her voice, had been given to Kelly Rowland? What ever it takes to stay on top Beyonce… Do what ever it takes to stay on top…
It wasn’t always this way…I remember when music made sense, and you could relate to the songs, and when looks weren’t the deciding factor in the industry….

I actually think Beyonce is talented but in the end she is the one who does herself in. She contantly overexposes herself and needs to learn that less is more and take a break because with this B’Day album it was too fast and doing too much and wasnt very meaningful!
