Ciara and Fitty are teaming up for “Can’t Leave You Alone”. For a while it seemed like Ciara had all but abandoned promotion of her album. Originally 50 Cent was “too busy” to do a video with Ciara so she was going to release “My Love”. After 50’s two singles tanked and his album was pushed back, suddenly the idea of doing a single with Ciara didn’t seem like such a chore. (Funny how things work out sometimes). Ciara looks great and I love the song. let’s see how the video turns out.

Ashanti finally bit the bullet and called on her boyfriend Nelly to help launch her “comeback”. Her new album is entitled The Declaration and is slated for an October release. The rumored first single just leaked and it’s called “Switch”. The song is just OK at best. It’s got a catchy hook and some alright lyrics but I was expecting more from Ashanti. I hope this isn’t the lead single.
Teedra Moses isn’t well known but I loved her first album. Her sophomore album, Young Lioness, has been on deck for a while now but a new song just leaked entitled “Loves Gonna Be”. The song is nice but unfortunately it uses the same sample as Amy Winehouse’s new single “Tears Dry On Their Own”. When artists use the same sample, people automatically make comparisons and when the two songs go head to head, Winehouse is the clear victor. Maybe this will just be a album track!

Hat’s off to you B for introducing the world to Teedra. Her first album was off the chain and, though she kinda looks like a drag queen, I’m sure the sophomore album will be just as good!
