THE June 12, 2007 Fantasia Barrino Killed It At The Tonys!
The 61st Annual Tony Awards were filmed two nights ago, and Fanny gave her all singing “I’m Here” from The Color Purple. Looks like she left our girl Idina Menzel speechless at the end. Amen!

Fantasia has a way of drawing you in to whatever she’s singing and taking you to that place. While her singing is on point, it was her acting in the Color Purple that blew me away. I had a chance to catch it last time I was in New York and let me tell you, it’s worth every penny!!!

Man…usually I can’t take too much of her cuz she screeches way too much but DAMN! This made me get all misty eyed and shyt. I think that’s the most beautiful, heartfelt, amazing performance I’ve ever seen…
