Iron Man:the movie is up and roaring and the masked avenger is none other than Hollywood’s own Robert Downey, Jr. After beating out drug addiction back in the 90’s, it’s nice to see that a former crackhead can play a hero!
May 2, 2008 is the date set for theatrical release.
On his new character, Robert Downey Jr. says (via MTV):
“I’ve always been a big fan of comics — only Marvel comics actually, strangely. I always felt like Tony Stark (Iron Man) was one of the great characters.”
Gwyneth Paltrow will play secretary Pepper Potts. Terrence Howard will also be starring in the bid budget feature. Director Jon Favreau has fireworks planned for the screen. Can’t wait!
