Okay, I was a little tipsy! Take me higher lord! *Double Kisses*

Empress Restaurant & Lounge on Sunset Blvd. celebrated its relaunch with a party late last week. We were a few of the night’s lucky guests, and we definitely think it’s a place to check out. This Asian fusion hot spot is super sleek, sexy and splendiferous. Whether you’re going for a meal or a late night cocktail, we think it’s a spot to add to your must-visit list.

Jacob Lutrell (top, left) was the evening’s musical guest, and he wowed the crowd with his soulful selections. Check out our previous feature on him. He has a sound all his own, and we’re happy to have gotten a sneak preview of his talent. There were also a few sexy lingerie models (top, right) strutting their stuff around the place. Our friend Annie was one of them!

Jacob Luttrell served the crowd his signature sound as they chilled out in the upstairs restaurant and chowed down on sushi and swallowed cocktail after fabulous cocktail. The upper level overlooks the Strip, which is great for people watching from above. It’s a small space—quite intimate for a nice dinner or a private party. At the end of his set, Jacob was great and greeted all of his fans and friends upstairs. He’s obviously a hit with the ladies, but sorry for you girls, he’s married!

A big thanks goes out to Jacqui (above) and Ryan, the fabulous hostess and head bartender, respectively, who really treated us well that night. If you’re in Hollywood, go see Ryan and ask for The Empress. He’ll serve up the sneakiest drink you’ve ever had. He guarantees that you’ll be leaning like a cholo after three!

Star Magazine has just run a story that reveals the concern that Angelina Jolie’s friends have about her recent dramatic weight-loss. They are reporting that Angelina is still broken up over the death of her mother and it’s restricted her eating habits.

A source close to Brad & Angie is reporting:

“She was the most beautiful woman in the world, but now she looks sickly. I couldn’t believe it when she got out of her limo (at Cannes).Her dress looked like it was barely hanging off her bones.”

The source also tells how Brad Pitt has been effected:

“He loves her, but this is really ripping him up inside. He wants to help but feels powerless to do so.”

I hope this isn’t true because she’s too splendiferous to let anything especially anorexia take away from that!

but I just had to bring up the uncanny resemblance that Rosie O’Donnell has with the Pekingese & the Pug! This picture is from a video that Rosie recently posted to her website in which she explains how things fall apart on the The View, how she tried to befriend Elisabeth, how she felt like a foster child that didn’t fit in and about the “split screen” that she said made her quit. So love muffins, which option is a better fit? (and this honestly has nothing to do with that fact I think she is an irritating pimple.)

Lindsay Lohan was photographed by Splash checking into rehab today for a reported 30-day detox/treatment program. As previously reported the 20 year-old drove her Mercedes SL-65, while intoxicated, into a curb on Sunset Blvd. last Saturday and was cited for DUI. Well I hope this rehab stint isn’t a super duper waste of time like the first one was! Good luck Lindsay.

Barbara Walters basically gave her basic all is good in the world speech and cracked Rosie’s face about her excuse that she left the show early, because of the “split-screen.” And like BW stated The View will go on! One monkey (not even a really really big one) don’t stop no show!
