1. Drink This! “Mint Julep”

This is an oldie but goodie, and any drink with a bit of mint is a fresh and clean way to get your drink on during the summer. With Memorial Day upon us (also known as the unofficial start of summer), it seems like the perfect suggestion. Don’t forget to give a toast to those who have fought and who are currently fighting to keep us safe!

4 fresh mint sprigs
2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp water

Crush mint leaves and mix with powdered sugar and water in a tall glass. Fill with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Garnish with a mint sprig.

2. Watch This! “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”

This weekend is the weekend of Pirates. There have been mixed reviews for the movie, but here at Lovebscott.com, we insist on making our own judgments, and so should you. Plus, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are beautiful specimens of men. Ay matey!

3. Wear This! “Boy Shorts”

These dSquared2 “Tab Closure” shorts are a splendiferous wardrobe addition. Boy shorts are an interesting social summer piece, possibly being the new version of the skinny jean. If you’ve been hitting the gym, why not flaunt it?! Get into them.

4. Hear This! “Jacob Luttrell”

You may not know his name, but you should check this out. Jacob Luttrell is on his way to building a musical career with the best foundation there is: talent. His voice is velvety and smooth, and his songs are true to the heart and above all soulful. We got the opportunity to speak with Jacob just for a bit about his recent performance in West Hollywood and just how he came to know Kelly Clarkson. Stay tuned for that! 5. Do This! “BBQ”

Gas prices are too high to do road trips, so stay in town! A lot of you have been granted a three day weekend by “The Man” in honor of Memorial Day, so you should take advantage of the beautiful weather and your grill! Pull it out of your garage or grab a spot at your neighborhood park. Get together with friends and family and get cookin‘. Just keep in mind that work starts back on Tuesday, so don’t lose control of your crunk!
