After being arrested on May 5th for driving under the influence, Ty Pennington pleaded no contest to the drunk driving charges today. The Extreme Home Makeover star was sentenced to 3 years probation, a $390 fine, three months of AA and must participate in a MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) seminar.
He told TMZ, “I’m happy to bring closure to my recent court proceedings. Drinking and driving is never acceptable. I have pleaded no contest and will abide by the court’s ruling. I hope this experience can help others as much as it has helped me.”
At least some people in Hollywood can be mature about their mistakes! Hopefully, he has learned his lesson.
