Katherine Heigl recently told USA today that her beef with Isaiah Washington is water under the bridge. She says that for the most part she’s gotten over the racial slur Washington hurled at her friend, T. R. Knight. She was quoted as saying:

“I know that he was very ashamed and that was a necessary emotion to move forward and not backward…His attitude and behavior and thought process needed to change, and the only way to do that is to be self-aware and honest. And I think he was. I have forgiven.

I was ultimately grateful that it opened up a dialogue. To me, I wasn’t making a political stand. I was making a stand about hurting people’s feelings. It’s very simple in my mind. You do not actively seek to hurt other people’s feelings. I don’t care what their sexual orientation, race or gender. You don’t do that.”

On a lighter note, T. R. Knight will grace the cover of The Advocate’s annual Pride Issue. In the magazine he discusses his road to one of the hottest shows on television.

This cover reminds me of a similar photo Matthew McConaughey did in his earlier years. What do you think?
