Busta Rhymes walked out of a Manhattan courtroom today rejecting a plea deal that would have sent him to the slammer for two years for his two assault charges from last year and his DUI from last week. The rapper’s lawyer brushed off the Manhattan D.A.’s offer of one year jail time for the assault charges, a drinking-and-driving program and $1500 in fines, according to D.A.’s spokesman, Edison Alban.
Tsk, tsk. Sounds to me like someone needs to take the money and run. Busta, do you REALLY think that you are going to get off for acting like a ruffian and a derelict? I mean, getting a drunk driving charge BEFORE your assault hearing is just plain gansta! (And tres, tres stupid, I might add!)
Washed-up Busta Rhymes’ next court date is set for July 10th. Hope he can stay sober until then!
