April 11, 2007 New Music: Bone Thugs and Mariah Carey!

mariahbone.jpg

When Mariah Carey and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony first teamed up on “Breakdown”, I was instantly a fan. Well, Mariah recently returned the favor by adding voice to “Lil’ L.O.V.E” for the rap group’s new album Strength and Loyalty, which is set to hit stores on May 8th. The chorus is catchy and you can definitely hear an influence from Jermaine Dupri, but I’m not sure this song lives up to lyrical sophistication of “Breakdown”. A preview version of “Lil’ L.O.V.E.” just leaked so I thought I’d let you guys tell me what you think. A longer version of the song featuring Bow Wow will be sent to radio soon and I’ll have that one for you when it’s ready, but for now you can listen to this. What do you think of the new song?????

Lil’ L.O.V.E.

Excuse while I reminisce…

How Dare They Vote Anastacia Off!

pusssy-cat-dolls.jpg

Clearly I will be boycotting the rest of CW’s “Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for The Next Doll” because they voted off my girl Anastacia last night! I just don’t understand how they could eliminate the star of the show! (I might be a little biased because I love her so much!) Well Anastacia I said it before and I’ll say again, no matter what, you will always be my lead pussycat! And a little birdie told me that my girl has some major things in the works, one of which includes a collaboration with none other than your’s truly, B. Scott! So stay tuned!

Bad Officers! You get fined for possession. . . not arrested!

Pasadena, Calif. Rap superstar Snoop Dogg is going to grace us lovely Pasadenians with his presence Wednesday for charges of gun possession by a felon and sale of (the music business can’t be that slow can it?) or transport of marijuana.

Snoop was picked up at Bob Hope’s airport on suspicion of a controlled substance and police later discovered the gun at Snoops home. If convicted he could get 4 years in the slammer. Darn those Burbank officers!

In 1990 he was convicted of cocaine and gun possession but only got three years probation and community service (Gosh. . . would the rest of us get off that easy?). I can’t really see why the man can’t own a gun. If I was a millionaire rap star I’d probably need one to fend off all the crazy fans and stalkers as well as bust a cap in the competition every once in a while. Anyway, it just goes to show you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Snoop, if you’re gonna burn one down. . . do it at home.

Anna Nicole Smith—Posthumous Artiste?

ans_painting.jpg

As if. As if the world needed another painter. Well, Anna Nicole has gripped the world in death like few other celebs. And now this supposed self-portrait is up for sale on e-bay. The price: a whopping $1.7 million. So far.

It’s allegedly the real McCoy. The painting is signed and looks very similar to one that Anna Nicole gifted to talk show host Larry King.

To my untrained but critical eye, the painting’s rather primitive. It’s flat and the perspective is off, however, the use of color is actually quite appealing. But 1.7 million?!? At least the owner is offering free shipping.
