April 19, 2007 Goodbya Sanjaya!
Admit it Love Muffins, aren’t you just a little sad to see him go? I must confess that I was a little sad to see Sanjaya leave last night. Even though he needed to leave a long time ago, to see him crying when he got eliminated was just heartbreaking. When you really think about it, he was one of the more interesting aspects of an otherwise dull season of AI. Besides, there probably would have been riots in the streets in LaKisha went home before Sanjaya.
I must say, the androgynous pop-star-hopeful went out with a bang, singing Bonnie Rait’s “Let’s Give ‘Em Something To Talk About“. And that he did…

B. Scott honey, I WAS sad to see him go. We must remember he is only a teen and I felt so bad for his little tender heart.

I love Sanjaya. I like his heart, his soul, his sound, his look, and most of all, his innocence and bravery. I believe that many of the (very strong) comments and feelings against him are based on homophobia and/or racism. There are other singers in that group who do not sing as well as Sanjaya, but you don’t see people up in arms about it. Probably because they are straight and white.
