April 12, 2007 The Color Purple: Fanny’s Big Night!
Fantasia Barrino’s opening performance as Celie in The Color Purple brought down the house in New York! Kelly Clarkson may have the pop world on lock when it comes to American Idol winners, but she can’t say that she’s ever been on Broadway. Fantasia’s hard knock life had to have fueled every bit of her performance as Celie. I’m happy for her success and wish her even more!
It was recently announced that The Color Purple will have a run at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre, so stay tuned for a schedule soon!
