Bob Barker seems like he’s from a different time where people actually kept one job their entire life. Think of people like Charles Schultz, Johnny Carson, David Letterman—these are people who have been doing the same thing forever and would probably have continued to do it for all eternity had they not passed away (Letterman excluded lol). Bob said that he will be retiring in May after 35 years but it now appears that the last show taping will be in June. CBS plans a big network going away bash for him that will air May 17.

Currently there are a few contenders for Bob’s job, the most surprising of which is Mario Lopez. I thought Mario’s career was starting to pick back up. I think these potential new Barkers should be warned that they might be hitting a dead end just like Pat Sajack of Wheel of Fortune, Alex Trebek of Jeopardy, and everyone who ever hosted Family Feud. So anyway I decided it’d be fun to see what Mario would look like as Bob Barker’s new replacement. I don’t know about you but I’ve always thought Mario was pretty sexy on Saved By the Bell, but his funky hairdo and those tight ass jeans seemed to have put a knife in the back of his career. These days Mario is looking cute but still the same some how. Maybe if he grew a beard or something it’d help his image.
