Flashback Video: Informer

March 30, 2007

You have to admit that Snow was one of the original pioneers for white rappers! According to his MySpace page, the Canadian MC spent some time in prision where he learned to speak patois and reggae music. His album, 12 Inches of Snow, dropped in ‘93, and “Informer” was the first single. Fourteen years later, I’m still jamming to it. Try as you might, you most likely will not understand a word of this. You don’t have to understand just shake your tail-feather!

Here’s a portion of the lyrics:

Informer you no say daddy me Snow me I’ll go blame
A licky boom boom down
Detective mon said daddy me Snow me stab someone down the lane
A licky Boom Boom Down.

One of my ex’s loved this tune and it would be hilarious watching him try to keep up singing along to the lyrics!!!!
