This R&B songstress has taken the standard Motown sound and flipped it on its head. Her songs have an old-school vibe but the subject matter is anything but traditional. She deals with issues such as rehab, cheating on her man, and dealing with deep depression. Her latest album, Back In Black, has gotten critical acclaim and “Me and Mr. Jones” is SIMPLY FABULOUS. The opening line says is all, “What kind of f@#kery is this?”

His debut album, Life in Cartoon Motion, hits stores this Tuesday and “Love Today” will be his second single. You may recognize it from the latest Verizon commercials.

On Introducing Joss Stone, the power and soul of her voice is undeniable. “Bruised But Not Broken” was penned by one of my favorite songwriters, Diane Warren, and is one of the standout tracks from the album.
