Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards!

The Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards were tonight and the many celebrities hit the “orange carpet” in hopes of winning over the lucrative PG-13 crowd! Justin Timberlake was the host of tonight’s show and, as you can see from picture, homeboy was really animated. Here is some of the rundown from tonight’s red carpet highlights.

Gwen Stefani always takes a fashion risk. Tonight was no different. She sported a plaid ascot and her signature red lips.

Ciara was gorgeous from the front but when she turned around she looked like she was “Bringing Ashy Back”.

Nicole Kidman was über-casual with black skinny jeans and a burgundy blazer. But I’ve never been a fan of shades on the red carpet.

Rihanna is just a stunning. I love her new haircut and applaud her decision to add some color to the red carpet. Can we talk about those eyes? De-Gorgeous!

Mandy Moore showed up in this canary yellow dress. I don’t know whether it was the orange carpet or her hair color but the yellow dress just doesn’t work for me.

Jessica Alba showed up looking Plain-Jane in jeans and a shirt. From the looks of this picture, either she was on her way to mall or she just got a job at the GAP! I know tonight was supposed to be casual but did she even try?

Hilary Duff also decided to sport the color yellow in this mod-inspired dress. Is it just me or does she look like Kate Hudson in this picture?

Britney’s Back B@#ches! Take That!

This has to be the best thing ever! The Britney Spears who showed up at a Lakers game last night is the Britney I know and love! Wearing a black blouse and brown color toned hat, Britney looked absofuckinglutely amazing! . She was there with her cousin and great supporter during her rehab stint.

I hope and pray to God she continues on this path or at least until the VMA’s because they need her! Tell me who has ever done better VMA performances than Britney! You don’t have to like her or her music but Britney is the best performer of our generation! Period! Put her on stage with any one of your favorite young divas and trust me everyone will be looking at Britney. It might not be fair but it’s plain to see that she’s a natural born star!

Flashback Video: Weak

Sisters With Voices (SWV) hit me with the hotness in ‘93 when they dropped the quintessential ballad ‘Weak‘. I love this song to death. “Whatever it is that you do when you do what you’re doing…It’s a feeling that I want to say”—If I’m ever in love like this, somebody please help me get a hold of myself! The girls broke up in ‘98 and reunited in ‘06 according to their Myspace page. Of course I’ll wish my girls luck in their future ventures, but I think I’ll just reminisce for now!

Britney Spears Gets Her Grandma On!

Just because we love the new happy Britney doesn’t mean we agree with her joining the cast of Mama’s Family! For those of you who don’t remember “Mama’s family” was headed by Mama (Thelma Harper/Britney Spears) a outspoken gray-haired widow who shared her house with her sister Fran, a journalist for the local newspaper. We would like to be the first to congratulate Britney on her new gig!

5. Do This! Culture Yourself!

There are several cool museums in LA—you just have to do your research. Take a drive out to Malibu and experience the newly renovated and Roman-inspired Getty Villa. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is constantly updating its exhibits, sponsoring programs and hosting events. If you’re on the Westside, try the Santa Monica Museum of Art. If you want to get back to your roots or explore the history of another, try the Japanese American National Museum, the California African American Museum or the Museum of Latin American Art. If you want to entertain the kids, take them to the Zimmer Children’s Museum or the Kidspace Children’s Museum. Unfortunately, there’s no sex museum! You’ll have to buy a ticket to New York for that!

At her last few public appearances, she was sophisticatedly dressed but lacking in some much needed color. Someone must’ve told her that Sunset Tans can do a body good because this fake & bake look is great on her! She has such strong, beautiful features, so this simplistic look is FABULOUS on her. Is it me or does Hilary Swank look skinner than ever! At last night’s Los Angeles Premiere of “The Reaping” Hilary appeared to be evaporating before my eyes. Please don’t get me wrong, she has an amazing body but at what point do you stop losing weight or working out?

Charlize Theron, who raced down the red carpet, still managed to look splendiferous in her black skinny jeans and purple plunging neckline blouse.

Flashback Video: Informer

You have to admit that Snow was one of the original pioneers for white rappers! According to his MySpace page, the Canadian MC spent some time in prision where he learned to speak patois and reggae music. His album, 12 Inches of Snow, dropped in ‘93, and “Informer” was the first single. Fourteen years later, I’m still jamming to it. Try as you might, you most likely will not understand a word of this. You don’t have to understand just shake your tail-feather!

It’s Official The British Have Taken Over!

You may remember Morrison’s faux-twin brother, James Blunt, another U.K. artist who hit us with the stunningly slow yet powerful “You’re Beautiful”. Blunt is currently in production of his latest project. Blunt and Morrison aren’t actually twins but the similarities are uncanny (and to top it off they both have the same first name James!). Clearly they are one.
