O Me, O My: O-Bar It Is

Friday nights are always prime for celebration, and a friend and I did just that this past weekend. We wanted something casual yet lively, chill yet sexy. A couple of ideas rolled off our tongues, but upon mentioning O-Bar in West Hollywood, the decision was made. This was my second time going there, and I can genuinely say that I love it to death! Why, Ashanti, Why?

Ashanti is THE resident evil since she keeps forcing us to watch her on the big screen! I feel violated. First “Coach Carter” and then “John Tucker Must Die” - both of them lackluster performances. Ashanti’s acting ability is like a clearance sale at a Versace store with nothing in your size…disappointing. In “Coach Carter”, the only reason the R&B songstress was believable was because she played the role of the round-the-way-girlfriend…something I’m sure is not far from her realm of life experiences.

Alas…Ashanti has yet another role. The hi-octane and action packed “Resident Evil: Extinction” is slated to come out Fall 2007. Ashanti plays the role of “Nurse Betty” and is supposed to be a gun-slinging powerhouse in terms of her character. We’ll see about that. I hope she proves me wrong about her acting this time around. Otherwise, her continuing as an actress is straight up FOOLISH!

Rihanna and Nicole Scherzinger: New Song

If didn’t like the duet between two A-listers like Beyonce and Shakira, then you’re gonna hate this combo of B-listers. Rihanna and Nicole Scherzinger came together to record a song for a Secret Deodorant ad. They thought the song was so good that they released it today. Personally I love both Rihanna and Nicole but the song is nothing short of horrible. In my humble opinion, this song should have stayed a secret and I’m glad it’s not a real single! But don’t just trust me, listen for yourself:

Madonna Covers British Elle

The Material Girl covers next months British Elle and let’s just say that red dress is larger than life. We can all agree that Madonna is getting on up there in age but she seems to be keeping those old bones together thanks to Yoga and god knows what else [wink wink]. Normally she looks really SEVERE in the face but it seems the Photoshop really softened up her image a little. Here’s what the pop-star mom had to say about raising her pre-teen daughter, Lourdes.

My daughter is going through a phase of wearing jeans that are so tight she can’t bend her knees in them. I have a go at her and say, ‘Can’t you wear something else? You have a closet full of clothes and you wear the same pants every day. And please wear a belt because I don’t want to see your butt crack when you bend over.’

New York: Caught In A Big Fat Lie!

This little New York sure knows how to BS her way through everything. In a recent interview with one of New York’s most hard hitting DJs, Miss Jones, the spin-off starlet found herself in a pot of hot lies! For all of your fans out there, we didn’t get a new episode this week, but this little gem sure as hell made up for it. Someone please help New York pick the pieces of her face off the floor!

The homepage of Britney’s official website has a brand new look with a vintage 90’s picture of the splendiferous Britney Spears I used to know. The homepage announces “New Official Site” coming soon, inviting visitors to join her fan club and shop Spears’ official store.

Please get well soon Britney! I can’t wait to see you come back with hair to let all the haters have it on stage!

Someone Give Oprah A Cookie!

Last night, the opening of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Henley-on-Klip, Johannesburg, South Africa on January 2, 2007 was aired as a primetime special entitled, “Building A Dream” on ABC. I think what Oprah did was absolutely SPLENDIFEROUS, but I think what she really wants is for someone to give her a cookie for all her good deeds! So Oprah, B. Scott will be mailing you a big fat crumbly chocolate chip cookie for all your hard work so you can sit down and take a much needed nap!
