Heroes did THE MOST last night! So many questions were answered, so many more remain! This show continues to be one of—if not THE—strongest in the fall television line up. If you missed the episode, and you’re a true Heroes freak then you’ve probably already caught the online stream. If not, you can get a quick rundown after the jump…

–Matt Parkman and Ted (radioactive man) break into the Bennets’ home.

–Claire Bennet’s crazy father’s initial involvement with a secret society fifteen years ago is revealed. His partner is an invisible man named Claude. We also see when Mr. Bennet was reluctantly given baby Claire (after her ‘firestarter’ mother supposedly dies in a blaze) to watch over as her by none other than Hiro’s father himself.

–As tension escalates, Ted threatens to shoot Mrs. Bennet out of revenge, but after reading Mr. Bennet’s thoughts about his daughter’s ability to regenerate, Matt Parkman shoots Claire in order to prevent any unnecessary deaths.

–Mr. Bennet and Matt Parkman go to Primatech, the former’s place of business, to get the two men’s files. Mr. Bennet also prepares a tranquilizer just in case something should happen…

–The Haitian is at Primatech, and Mr. Bennet finds out that his once silent partner can indeed speak, AND he’s been answering to a higher power all along–someone who will soon know about Claire’s power.

–While Mr. Bennet and Matt are gone, Ted runs upstairs to check on Claire who was taken to her room after being shot. In his absence, Claire goes through the back kitchen door and tries to release her mom and brother who are being held captive. Ted catches Claire before she can escape with them, and Mrs. Bennet sees her daughter heal right before her very eyes!

–When Mr. Bennet and Matt return, Ted is able to look at his file. Mr. Bennet tells him that nothing can be done now to reverse his misfortune unless he’s killed. The Haitian shows up and frees Claire and her mother.

–Mr. Bennet’s true boss arrives, and in an attempt to kill his traitor employee, he hits Ted which causes the entire house to erupt from his violent radioactive reaction. Everyone gets out except Mr. Bennet who has the tranquilizer–the only thing that can save Ted. Because of her power, Claire rescues her father and does the deed herself! She exits her home, charred and bruised, as neighborhood onlookers, her family and the fire department gather outside. (This part is a tad unbelievable when you think about how such intense radiation would’ve Hiroshima’d these people immediately, but hey, it’s a TV show.)

–Mr. Bennet speaks with his boss, and blames THE HAITIAN for keeping Claire a secret for so many years and promises to kill him. Ted is kept in sedation, and while examining Matt who is hooked up to monitoring equipment, Bennet’s boss suggests Matt’s ability as a new partner. When the big boss asks about Claire, Mr. Bennet promises to bring her in.

–Mr. Bennet apologizes to Claire for all that has happened and declares that he did everything he could to protect her. In order to fake a kidnapping attempt, Mr. Bennet allows the Haitian to shoot him and erase his mind. As he lies slumped over a bridge’s railing, the Haitian and Claire take off.
