February 26, 2007 Background Check Anyone?
AGAIN, some new, crazy ‘ish is coming out about one of American Idol’s contestants. This time it’s Antonella Barba, and if you don’t remember her, this video should jog your memory:
Well thanks to the World Wide Web, we’re all seeing a new side to Ms. Barba. Some of the photos are ‘professional’ although raunchy, so we’ll just move on to the HIGHLY inappropriate ones. Tanning topless on a beach, taking a piss while holding a wad of toilet paper and giving a paunchy fellow a blow job qualify as grounds for HOT MESS BEHAVIOR! That’s right. You heard me on that last one. The young ‘lady’ allowed someone (hopefully the receiver of her gift) to memorialize her kindness, and they ended up on the Internet. What does Fox have to say about this? The publicist for American Idol is pulling the no comment string. According to the Associated Press, here’s what Nigel Lythgoe, the show’s producer, had to say:
”We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season,” he told EW.com. ”It’s sad, isn’t it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the Web?”

They had to know before it hit the internet. Sometimes this type of drama makes people more famous. Talk about indecent exposure. Maybe Playboy will come a calling for her!

at least she shows some talent there, unlike anything she’s done on american idol. she should call 1-800-vivid-video and put her “talents” to good use and make some serious cash.
