Not quite….the franchise will return, but not as the cult TV show. “Buffy” aired from 1996-2003 and starred Sarah Michelle Gellar. The season eight Buffy comic (issue 1) will be in stores March 2007. Here’s a look at the first cover:

Creator Joss Whedon has agreed to write several issues of the new comic book series. Whedon has said the comic will pick up where the series finale left off, and to expect some surprises along the way! Personally, I would like to see the franchise return with a big screen movie, but I’ll take what I can get.
