February 22, 2007 A Prince in Iraq

It was officially announced today that Prince Harry would be joining British troops in Iraq. Third in line to the throne, the cute, younger brother of Prince William will be stationed in Basra–known to be one of the ‘safer‘ regions of the country. With British troops being pulled out slowly but surely, it makes sense that Prince Harry will be deployed with one of the last tours in this war. For a boy who has been all over tabloids for his young partying ways and one particularly offensive moment (remember that whole Nazi with a swastika costume?), he’s very serious about joining the army and fighting for the Queen and his country. I’m not a fan of the war, but I support those who are fighting, so we’ll wish him the best and a safe return!
