Oprah’s Broadway production of ‘The Color Purple’ is clearly LOSING ITS STEAM! Oprah brought the Steven Spielberg film, in which she was a key figure, to the stage and its run has shocked, sold-out, and surpassed any expectations placed upon it. This was a true testament of Oprah’s magic powers!

However, as of late, Miss Sofia (Oprah) hasn’t been able to hold the box office numbers up. The color purple is struggling! Numbers in terms of sales have been cut in half – going from 1 million to 500,000 in revenue.

I hope Oprah pulls a Coup D’ Etat and gets the numbers up. A show like the “The Color Purple” should be a Broadway staple – not a “here today, gone tomorrow” one-season tragedy.
